With summer right around the corner, what better time is there (while being stuck indoors) to daydream about the magic that's to come? Now's the time to plan all the outdoor fun. The hikes and waterfalls in North Carolina are waiting, but this one has to be at the top of the list. Hooker Falls is located in DuPont State Recreational Forest in Hendersonville, North Carolina along the Hooker Falls Trail. While the DuPont Forest is closed due to social distancing, it's still a great spot to add to your outdoorsy bucket list for when the pandemic safety concerns are lifted. These 12-foot falls are only one of four of the beautiful waterfalls on Little River, but it's the easiest to get to. You'll be able to find it by walking a quarter of a mile from the visitor office parking lot. You can also take the more scenic route and take the Hooker Falls Trail that's easy enough for all hiking skill levels. You'll see an observation deck before the actual waterfall, so youll have plenty of views (and great pics) of the popular spot. Swimming is highly discouraged by park officials, but there are large boulders to relax on, soak in the sun and even have a cute picnic (cheap date goals). You can have dreamy pics that'll make your Instagram pop with the waters cascading around you.
