You'll See Over 600 Fluffy Alpacas At This Free North Carolina Celebration Next Month

When you think of festivals, you probably think of live music, food tents and lots of booze. However, what if there was a festival completely dedicated to fluffy animals? The Carolina Alpaca Celebration is among the North Carolina festivals 2020. This rare event lets you revel in the presence of these precious Peruvian creatures.
The weekend-long Carolina Alpaca Celebration 2020 will be held at the massive Cabarrus Arena and Events Center in Concord on February 15 and 16. Over 600 Alpacas from all over the country will attend the party, making it the largest celebration of its kind in the Southeast.
The event is hosted by Carolina Alpaca Breeders and Owners (CABO) in collaboration with Apple Hill Farms, Happy Tails Alpacas, Healing Hearts Alpacas, Rocky Top Suri Ranch and Carolina Pride Pastures. This fuzzy fest will offer a fully immersive experience without the .
According to CABO's website, the dedicated farm "played a vital role in the advancement of the alpaca community by promoting activities ranging from alpaca health care, offering educational events, producing shows and exhibits and organizing cooperative efforts to purchase supplies and services."
As soon as you see the area filled with these, you're probably going to want to hug every single one of them. The gentle giants will participate in show rings, fleece competitions, photography contests and more judged by nationally-recognized Alpaca experts.
As for the visitors, you'll have access to educational seminars, demonstrations and classes that allow you to interact with and learn more about these llama look-alikes.
There will even be a selfie booth so you can capture this once-in-a-lifetime moment forever.
The celebration is completely free to the public and will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
