Texas is home to some of the biggest things in the United States, from burgers to lazy rivers, but one of the most notable giant things is the second largest canyon in the entire country. The giant Palo Duro Canyon State Park is filled with trails, views, and so much more. Palo Duro has 1,500 acres set aside just for horseback riding. If you do intend on riding your horse, you will have tons of wide open space for yourself along with two giant trails that are shared with hikers and mountain bikers. Visitors have the option to stay with their own equipment in a first come first serve hike-in for just $12.
