Vacationing at a Texas beach can get kind of repetitive after a while. It's the same trip we've taken since we were kids, and now that we're older it's finally time for something new. Canyon Lake is a gorgeous oasis not far from San Antonio that has unbelievable views, breathtaking cliffs and more. Pack your bags now, this is the perfect summer '20 day trip!\nCanyon Lake has been known as an ideal destination for taking your boat out for a spin for quite some time. Nowadays, you can catch people jumping from massive cliffs into the water nearby, floating around on a tube, or posing in the expansive body of water. Whatever they may be doing, you already know everyone is having a great time.\nThe cliffs here can be pretty scary to jump from, but that's what makes it so thrilling. If you're not a huge fan of heights then this may not be your cup of tea, since the height you'll be jumping from is pretty wild. If you'd rather spend your day swimming and getting your tan on, there's absolutely no shame in that. After all, it's just as fun.\nWe definitely recommend you try hopping from at least one of the lower cliffs, though, since it truly is a thrill you can't find anywhere else near San Antonio.\nView this post on Instagram A summer must #Kayaking #canyonlaketx #familyfun A post shared by ғ ι ɴ ɴ e ѕ т e l l α📸☕️👩💻 (@finnestella) on Jul 15, 2019 at 2:41pm PDT\nSurrounding Canyon Lake are plenty of places to rent whatever you'd like to take out on the water. Oh, and don't forget your sunscreen!\nWhile you're out swimming and having a fantastic time on the waters at Canyon Lake, you can go past the gigantic Canyon Lake Dam. The impressive dam is 6,830 feet long and rises over 200 feet above the riverbed it touches. Any guests of Canyon Lake are welcome to walk across its entirety on the paved path on top of it. It's a long walk that gives you the prettiest views of the water below it.\nView this post on Instagram Thinking of summer days.💛🐶 🐾 🐾 🐾 #liberty #peyton #bestdogstoeverdog #sisters #dogsofinstagram #instadogs #instapups #dogsofinsta #dogsoftexas #texasdogs #travelingdogs #dogtreks #doglife #bestdogslife #havedogwilltravel #shedlife #prettygirl #goodgirl #happy #happydog #bestdog #libertybelle #canyonlakedam A post shared by Liberty + Peyton 🐾 (@best.dogs.to.ever.dog) on Nov 18, 2018 at 7:14am PST\nGrab your sunscreen, pack a picnic basket, rent a boat, and head out to Canyon Lake for the most peaceful summer day of your life.\nView this post on Instagram Sorry Virginia, this Texas Hill Country has you beat☀️ A post shared by Madisyn Brianne (@madisyn_freymiller) on Jul 17, 2019 at 5:20pm PDT\nAfter you visit the beautiful Canyon Lake and enjoy all it has to offer, you can swing by another incredible swimming spot near San Antonio to get more of a river vibe this summer.
