Texas may be hot and dry all of the time, but that doesn't mean you can't find a nice, cool, green place to hang out in the city. One of the most gorgeous spots to explore in San Antonio is the Japanese Tea Garden. You can visit this spot year round to see their stunning flowers, trees, koi ponds, waterfalls, trails, and much more.

The San Antonio Japanese Tea Garden mixes different beloved aspects of Japanese culture into their public garden so everyone can have a place to relax and admire the beauty of nature. The park was fully inspired by the best places in Japan and China and was built by multiple local San Antonian architects over the years. This spot has become one of the best places to visit in the city since it makes you feel like you're not even in the city anymore!

In 2008, the Japanese garden was renovated to include an evergreen flower garden and giant floral displays with treelined walkways, koi ponds, beautiful stone bridges, a 60-foot flowing waterfall. The garden always has a new beautiful plant blooming every season and is constantly flowing with clear water. Once you step into the garden, you'll feel like you've actually entered Japan!

The San Antonio Japanese Tea Garden is open from dawn until dusk every day. You can visit the garden for no cost at all since it is free for visitors. They also have frequent events for anyone to join in on, such as their exciting Jazz In The Garden event that is also free!

The San Antonio Japanese Tea Garden is located at 200-414 Alpine, San Antonio, TX 78212. For more information about the garden, you can visit their official website here!

We strongly advise that before you go swimming or visit any location, you check the most recent updates on potential hazards, security, water quality, and closures. If you do plan to visit a location, respect the environment.
