Taking a family/friend trip up to the Smoky Mountains is always a good idea. If you live in the South, there is a good chance you've been to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee once or twice in your life, so finding new activities each time is key. One of the best things to do in Tennessee while you're in this area is to ride the mountain coaster that will blow your mind.

The Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster is for all those adrenaline junkies or those who just want a little thrill. You won't find another coaster with a downhill slope as long as this one, which means it's the most enticing.

Everyone in your party can enjoy this type of coaster because you are in control of your speed. There's no excuse to not experience this insane attraction and you'll want to ride it over and over again.

The entire track is just over a mile long and it takes about seven to eight minutes to complete, depending on your speed. If you're really feeling daring, you can just let gravity pull you down with your cart going up to 27 MPH.

You can choose to experience this ride on your own, or you can add a passenger into your cart if you're a little too nervous to let gravity take you down a mountain.

One of the best parts of this attraction is the fact that you can ride in any weather conditions. The breaking system is unchanged so even in rain you can take a ride.

It's only $14 to experience, which is a pretty good deal for an unforgettable experience. You can even try this at night when the track lights up and gives you an even more magical experience.

If you are a fan of this coaster, you can head over to North Carolina to check out this brand new alpine coaster that's opening in February or you can travel down to North Georgia and take a ride on their coaster that can go up to 25 mph
