To find natural springs, most of the time you have to take a trip to the mountains or find some waterfalls. This city in Georgia is the place you want to go and explore on a hot summer day. Cave Spring is home to Rolater Park, which has an all natural mineral spring that runs through the town, as well as a cave you can explore.

Many people do not know about this hidden town right in Georgia, but those who do know about it love visiting on a nice day.

There are picnic tables, a snack bar, a huge grassy lawn, and a volleyball court. This park has something for everyone.

Rolater Park is a place that you will want to go time and time again during the summer. You can actually bring your water bottle or jug and fill it up with this water and drink it, according to their website

There are different parts to the spring and the pond part of it is only for drinking. The other half of the spring is to swim in or stick your feet in if you can handle the coldness of it.

The spring stays at a cool temperature of 57 degrees... all year round. Even on the hottest day, it stays at the same temperature!

You can also enter the cave that is in the park for just $1! It is not a deep cave like you might be thinking, but it is fun to explore the small crevasses. You will find the cave right inside the park near the spring.

You can walk around inside the cave, but you might have to duck down to get through certain parts of it.

There are chain rails to hold on to, so make sure you take precaution as you travel and trek through the dimly lit cave.

The cave has multiple chambers that lead into one large one, which then leads you to the end of it where the spring begins.

Inside the cave, you will also notice that it stays cool as well.

This summer you should take a trip to this hidden gem of a town and explore the park that is inside of it. It will not only keep you cool but give you a new and unique experience without having to go all the way to the mountains.

Rolater Park is located at 13 Old Cedartown Rd, Cave Spring, GA 30124 and is open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We strongly advise that before you go swimming or visit any location, you check the most recent updates on potential hazards, security, water quality, and closures. If you do plan to visit a location, respect the environment.
