North Carolina is home to all of the beautiful nature that Blue Ridge has to offer. With so many hidden trails, falls and overlooks, it's hard to reach all the scenic wonders in one lifetime. That said, your hiking bucket list should definitely focus on the best of the best, like this hike in North Carolina that leads to two cascading waterfalls and a beautiful emerald pool.

Graveyard Falls is a hidden treasure nestled in Graveyard Fields near the picturesque Asheville. When you're not busy checking out the Biltmore or boozing it up at all the cool local breweries, we recommend squeezing in some time to explore this magical wonder brought to you by Mother Nature.

You can reach the trek right off Blue Ridge Parkway, which has amazing trails and even better views all along its 469-mile path. The trail to the falls is marked by a sign reading "Graveyard Fields Loop Trail" in Canton.

The scenic path is bordered with peaceful streams and rugged terrian filled with blackberry and blueberry bushes that blossom gorgeously in the Summer. Throughout your hike, you'll be surrounded by remarkable brush like rhododendron and mountain laurel.

At the trail head and beyond, you'll even catch some great views of the mountains, including Black Balsam Knob. The short hike is only three miles round-trip and is fairly moderate.

The juice is definitely worth the squeeze once you've graced the presence of a sky-high, cascading upper falls accompanied by a second multi-tiered falls.

At only 0.2 miles you will turn to your right to reach the second falls. At 0.85 miles, you'll reach the upper falls and at the end of the hike, you'll discover the lower section of the waterfall where you can swim in a glassy, refreshing emerald pool fed by the towering falls.

For more breath-taking North Carolina hikes, this short trek leads to amazing fall views from above or hike to the highest point East of the Mississippi right here in NC!
