Pensacola's Hosting A Massive Pumpkin Patch With 5,500 Hand-Blown Glass Pumpkins This Weekend

Instead of carving your pumpkin this season, get a pumpkin that will last a lifetime. If you're looking for unique things to do this fall in Florida, Pensacola is hosting a massive pumpkin patch with over 5,500 hand-blown glass and hand-thrown clay pumpkins.
You will find the most colorful pumpkins at this festival in different shapes, sizes and prices. According to the Pensacola News Journal, the ceramic and glass pumpkins will cost between $20 to $300.
Over 50 local artists will be selling their art and proceeds from the pumpkin purchases will benefit the First City Art Center's (FCAC) education and outreach programs. All the pumpkin guilds are handmade by members of the FCAC.
The preview party of the festival is on Friday, October 11th and the actual here.sale is on Saturday, October 12th, where guests can pick up their favorite hand-made glass pumpkin. You can purchase a $20 ticket for the preview party
It is recommended that everyone brings cash as the line checkout becomes shorter and faster.
What makes this pumpkin patch unique is that is part of a non-profit organization and it benefits students who have completed the High School Glass Mentorship program where they are taught glassblowing techniques.
The Pumpkin Patch Saturday Sale will be open to the public with free admission from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No need to go to Murano in Italy to witness amazing hand-blown glass art. This festival is probably the most fall event you could attend.
