IO

Released earlier this month, IO is set in a future where Earth's air has become toxic. Two survivors team up to try to catch the last shuttle launch leaving for Jupiter's moon, Io, and the site of a new civilization. 

Cargo

Bilbo Baggins (okay, Martin Freeman) stars in this Australian thriller about a family trying to survive the zombie apocalypse. They get off to a good start with their plan to live on a houseboat, but keeping away from flesh-eating monsters is easier said than done.  

Bird Box 

Wait, hold the freaking phone: YOU HAVEN'T SEEN BIRD BOX YET?! Sandra Bullock isn't winning any Miss Congeniality awards for her tough love parenting in this crazy world where just setting eyes on the monsters will cause you to lose your mind. 

10 Cloverfield Lane

It might be an oldie, but it's def a goodie. After surviving a car crash, Michelle (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) wakes up to find herself in an underground bunker. Exactly the place you want to be when the apocalypse hits, right? Well, not if your bunker buddy is a total psychopath! 

The Bad Batch 

Sometime between appearing in Game of Thrones (Khal Drago 4ever!!) and starring in Aquaman, Jason Momoa played the leader of a vicious band of cannibals that captures Arlen (Suki Waterhouse) as she struggles to survive in a Texas wasteland. 

Spectral

Before the world ends, there's generally a battle to see if it will in fact end. In Spectral, a group of soldiers must face off against a ghostly enemy that's trying to destroy mankind. 

Bokeh

When the world ends, where do you want to be? Who do you want to be with? In Bokeh, a couple is on vacation in Iceland when they wake up one morning to realize they're the only people left on Earth.
