9 Series You Must Watch On Netflix Canada That Got Almost 100% On Rotten Tomatoes

I think that one thing we can all agree on as human beings is that deciding what to watch on Netflix is easily one of the most difficult decisions you have to make. I personally have spent hours scrolling through, just to re-watch 'The Office' for the millionth time. 

In hopes of making your Netflix search easier, I've done some digging for you. The following is a list of lesser known shows on Netflix Canada that have perfect, or near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes scores (we all know Rotten Tomatoes critics are the wisest, obviously). 

There's shows of all different genres, so hopefully you find a series to keep you entertained over the upcoming long weekend:

Happy Valley

Rotten Tomatoes score: 100%

Achieving a perfect Rotton Tomatoes is no easy feat, but Happy Valley has managed to do it. This British drama is about a kidnapping plot gone terribly wrong. It's incredibly suspensful and edgy, and will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat.

I recently started watching this show after a friend recommended it to me, and I've gotta say it's pretty f*cked up. Wild Wild Country tells the story of one of the most controversial cults in U.S. history, and how they took over the Oregon desert.

3. Chewing Gum

Rotten Tomatoes score: 100%

Even after just watching the trailer for this show I'm dying with laughter, so I can see why it has a perfect score. Chewing Gum tells the story of lovable British 20-something Tracey Gordon who has an unhealthy obsession with Beyonce. The series follows her misadventures and definitely teaches some worthwhile but hilarious lessons.

4. Dirty Money

If you're looking for another true crime series to watch on Netflix, Dirty Money should be your first pick. The series gives an in-depth look at just how corrupt and scandalous the world of business really can be - you'll definitely be surprised.

5. Alias Grace

If murder mystery dramas are your thing, you'll want to add Alias Grace to your list ASAP. The series takes place in the nineteenth century, and follows a young Canadian maid who has been accused of murdering her employer. There are only a few episodes, but you'll have them binge watched in no time at all.

There's no denying that female comedians deserve all the love in the world, and this Netflix series gives you a chance to show some. Lady Dynamite tells the story of famous comedian Maria Bamford's chaotic and hilarious life. You'll be laughing along through all 20 episodes.

College football may not be as popular in Canada as it is in the U.S., but any sports fanatic will appreciate this series regardless. Last Chance U follows several college athletes and their gut-wrenching battle through the trials and tribulations of playing college football.

I know I personally love conspiracy theories, so this show has me baited even after just watching the trailer. Wormwood tells the intense story of a mans persistent 60-year journey to solve the mystery of his father's death. Along the way he uncovers truths about things such as the CIA, LSD, and mind control, among other things.

Dark tells the chilling story of two young children who go missing in a German town, and it's sure to have you on the edge of your seat. The longer the children are gone, the more tension rises and fractured relationships continue to worsen.
