Netflix really must know what we want. I'm sure that after Ariana Grande's Thank U, Next music video, the urge to watch movies such as Bring It On, Legally Blonde, 13 Going On 30, and Mean Girls went through the roof. I'm not going to lie to you, I watched Bring It On last weekend, and it was awesome. But now we can have a marathon, because all of the Bring It On movies are coming to Netflix Canada in January.
Can you believe 18 years ago, Bring It On was released into the world and changed cheerleading forever. Okay, maybe that's dramatic, but I remember wanting to be a cheerleader and pursuing it because of this movie. The original, which stars Kirsten Dunst and Gabrielle Union still resonates with fans today. Although this entire franchise maybe wasn't needed, 5 other movies were added and we love to hate them.
If you've never watched the entire franchise, then you're missing out on some amazing cheesy movies. Here is the list of all of the movies and their titles:
- Bring It On (2000)
- Bring It On Again (2004)
- Bring It On: All or Nothing (2006)
- Bring It On: In It to Win It (2007)
- Bring It On: Fight to the Finish (2009)
- Bring It On: Worldwide Cheersmack (2017)
If you've never heard of the last one, don't worry, because same. But that one is already on Netflix Canada, so you can watch that to prepare for the rest.
If you're the 1% of people who have never seen Bring It On, it's basically about the world of cheerleading and how competitive it is as well as exhausting. The movies showcase two rival teams, and follow the personal lives behind each cheer captain. Of course, there is ALWAYS a love story, so don't worry.
The bring it on franchise will be available on January 2nd, 2019. You can see the works of Kirsten Dunst, Gabrielle Union, Hayden Panettiere, Francia Raisa and wait for it... Beyoncé's sister, Solange Knowles. I wish I was lying.
