When Sex Education came to Netflix just a few months ago, people were elated. The show openly embraced taboo topics that not everyone is open to talking about, and it definitely pushed some boundaries. It's been renewed for a second season, and viewers are anxiously awaiting more awkward teen content. To make the wait a little more bearable, we've got good news - Bonding is Netflix’s newest lighthearted comedy.
Whenever Netflix drops a new trailer on their Youtube page, I personally get so excited to see what sort of cool content I have to look forward to next! Yesterday, the released a trailer for a show called Bonding, and I couldn't help but find myself comparing it to Sex Education.
The show is about two former high school BFFs who have reconnected years later, but definitely not in a normal way. Most normal people grab coffee or a bite to eat when they're looking to catch up, but Peter and Tiff are anything but normal. Peter has agreed to take a job as Tiff's personal assistant/bodyguard while she works as a dominatrix.
Unlike plenty of other Netflix shows with longer runtimes, each episode of Bonding is roughly 15 minutes so you'll feel a lot less guilty when you binge the entirety of the series in just one sitting.
Bonding stars Zoe Levin (who you may have seen in Red Band Society) as Tiff, and Brendan Scannell (who recently starred in the Heathers reboot) as Peter. Although he's definitely uncomfortable with all the sex stuff, Peter agrees to work with Tiff as her assistant because he needs the extra cash.
You won't have to wait long to watch this new and exciting show, as it'll be available for streaming on Netflix on Thursday, April 24th. If you'd like to check out the trailer in the meantime, you can watch it below:
