A Little Late With Lilly Singh season one is officially wrapping up, but so many epic things happened on the show over the last few months.
Back in March of this year, it was officially announced thaton NBC. The show's first episode aired on September 16 and featured guests Mindy Kailing and Rainn Wilson, both of whom formerly starred on The Office.
The show has received amazing reviews so far and is evenon Rotten Tomatoes. Singh's mixture of amazing guests (everyone from Christina Aguilera to Adam Devine), impressive interview skills, and of course, hilarious comedy sketches are exactly what keeps A Little Late doing so well.
"One week left until we wrap season one of @latewithlilly. Holy MF fiddlesticks, what a ride. Sentimental post to come but in the mean time plz enjoy my bomb af socks. MESSAGE. RAH 💪🏽❤️😤," Singh wrote on Instagram yesterday.
In honour of such a big time for a Canadian icon, here are some of the best Canadian moments from season one.
Way back in September, just a few episodes into A Little Late, Lilly welcomed fellow Canadian and Queer Eye star Antoni Porowski onto her show, along with stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan.
The episode consisted of Porowski admitting he owes his parents $200, Porowski confronting Gaffigan for ghosting him after an interview, and finally, the trio playing a game called "Sad News".
Canadian Headlines w/ John Cena
On November 13,joined Singh on the late-night stage. The wrestler may not be Canadian, but he did an awesome job as Singh's hype man while she read out some horrible Canadian headlines.
The episode also featured Bindi Irwin, who brought out some adorable puppies for the gang to play with.
Tegan & Sara
Who could possibly be more Canadian than the Calgary-born pop duo,? On their episode back on October 1, the girls talked about forgetting one another's birthdays (ironic, because they share one), banning cellphones on their tour, and their lives as teenagers.
Calling Out Trudeau for Brown Face
Perhaps one of the biggest Canadian scandals of 2019 occurred when photos of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau surfaced, showing him in brown face. As a result of the scandal,, but Singh still gave him a shout-out of sorts.
On October 8, the comedic host made Trudeau a "gift basket", complete with makeup wipes, a new phone with white emojis, and a photo of Aladdin, "for future reference".
