It’s the new Canadian dream team! It was just announced that Sandra Oh and Seth Rogen will both star in the new Amazon Prime series Invincible. The series, set to be released later this year, is currently in its early stages of production.

The show announced back in 2019 is finally coming to fruition. The animated eight-episode season will follow the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman. It follows Mark Grayson who’s father is “the most powerful superhero on the planet.” When Mark begins to grow into his inherited power he realizes that his father might not be that “super” after all.

Invincible will be exclusive to Amazon Prime and is being produced by The Walking Dead’s David Alpert and Star Wars: The Clone Wars Catherine Winder. Nick Simotas is set to direct.

According to IMDb, both Canadians are credited for all eight episodes however, their characters’ names have yet to be revealed.

The Hollywood Reporter also announced that a feature film for the comic series is still being set in motion, despite the series, and has Rogen playing an integral role in the production.

Alongside Evan Goldberg, Rogen is expected to write, direct, and produce the film.

This marks Oh’s second upcoming project in 2020 with Game of Thrones creators, David Benioff and DB Weiss, securing the actress for a role in their upcoming Netflix dramedy The Chair.

There has yet to be a set release date announced for Invincible.
