Have you ever heard of AltiTunes Music Festival? Of course, you haven't, because it's brand new. Big White in Kelowna will be hosting this massive event for the first time ever this year. AltiTunes Music Festival plans to combine the Okanagan outdoors with great music for an unforgettable experience. It’s all about connecting the community, supporting local businesses, and, of course, having fun.
The festival will be taking place in Big White's Happy Valley parking lot on Saturday, April 4. It kicks off at 2 p.m. and goes all the way to 11 p.m.
You can expect tons of fun activities, food, drinks, a beautiful mountain backdrop, and, of course, amazing music. In fact, the festival is starting to announce some of the bands that will be playing.
So far, we know we'll have the pleasure of seeing The Arkells and Dear Rouge perform live at AltiTunes Music Fest. The rest of the lineup will be released as the festival date approaches.
AltiTunes will be put on by the organizers of Denim on the Diamond, which is hosted in downtown Kelowna each year on Labour Day long weekend. Voted “Best Festival in Kelowna 2018,” we can say with confidence that these folks know how to throw a party.
If you're a fan of an after-ski beer, you'll love this event. If you've never skied Big White, this is the perfect opportunity for an unforgettable weekend of music and merriment in the mountains.
Tickets start at only $59 up until December 31, so you should probably grab yours now.
"Our goal is to create an all-inclusive environment that fosters a deeper sense of community and thereby a deeper sense of empathy for all who live here," explains the festival's website.
You can make the choice to stay up at Big White, drive to the festival, or book a shuttle back to Kelowna afterwards. No matter what, there are good times to be had.
With the current lineup already exceeding expectations, we can't wait to see which artists they announce next.
If you're fired up for a day of music and spring skiing at Big White this year, you can get your tickets now for a fraction of the price.
Stay tuned for more lineup details.
