Jurassic World 3 Started Filming On Vancouver Island This Week
They'll be filming in BC until March 6.
Canada reportedly took it back 200 million years! Jurassic World 3 has apparently started filming in BC and Vancouver Island got the honour of hosting the production this past week. Signs were posted advising residents of the filming dates.
CTV shared a photo of the sign they claim was spotted at Cathedral Grove park on the Island, distributed by the production company Gramercy Film Productions Inc.
The sign advised residents that filming would take place between February 18 and 19 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
According to the company, trails in Cathedral Grove were closed for three to ten-minute intervals due to overhead shots with a drone.
The sign failed to mention whether or not the filming was for the next installment in the Jurassic franchise. However, Creative BC, a website that reports on all production happening in the province, currently lists Arcadia as the only film working with Gramercy Film Productions.
It was reported back in December that Arcadia would be the working title for Jurassic World 3.
What’s Filming on Twitter also reported the apparent filming on Vancouver Island this past February 19, “Jurassic World 3 is filming on Vancouver Island right now.”
According to Creative BC, filming for Arcadia will continue on in BC until March 6.
Just last week, the production was looking tofor filming dates between February 25 and March 6.
An official synopsis for the film has yet to be released. However, confirmed cast members returning for the third film include Chris Pratt, Laura Dern, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Jeff Goldblum.
Jurassic World 3 is set to hit theatres on June 11, 2021.
