Welcome back to the club! Back in 2019, Netflix announced that The Baby-Sitters Club reboot is on the way, and after months of waiting, the streaming service has given us a first look at the upcoming series.

On March 12, the official Netflix Family Instagram page shared a photo of the first poster for the show, which also happened to reveal the cast members who will be playing the iconic members of the famous club.

According to IMDb, The Baby-Sitters Club will star Shay Rudolph (Lethal Weapon), Sophie Grace (Terror in the Woods), Mark Feuerstein (Royal Pains), Alicia Silverstone (Clueless), and Xochitl Gomez (Gentefied).

The series also stars two up and coming Canadian actors—Malia Baker (A Million Little Things), and Momona Tamada (To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You).

If that’s not enough ties to the Great White North for you, E-Boss Canada reports that the Netflix original series was actually filmed in Vancouver from August 6, 2019, to October 15 of the same year.

Gomez, who plays the role of Dawn in the upcoming show, isn’t from Canada, but when she was filming in Van City, she made it a point to show her enthusiasm and share a photo of her decked out in our flag to her Instagram page.

According to EW, The Baby-Sitters Club will follow a group of “headstrong middle-schoolers who start a babysitting business in their small town of Stoneybrook.”

The show’s IMDb page reports that, in order to keep things relevant to today’s audience, the Netflix original will tackle important issues such as belonging, racism, and divorce, among others.

An official release date for The Baby-Sitters Club reboot has yet to be determined by the streaming service, although EW mentions that it will consist of 10 episodes which span 30 minutes each.
