The final cycle is about to begin!
The final cycle is about to begin! Just when you thought June couldn’t get any better, it’s now official that Dark season three will be coming to Netflix at the end of the month. The streaming service recently shared the news, along with a teaser of what viewers can expect from the upcoming episodes.
Dark takes place in a small German town where, after two young children go missing, dark, sinful secrets begin to expose themselves. As the search for the children begins, four families find their lives suddenly intertwined as they uncover a time-travel conspiracy.
According to showrunners and co-creators Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar, the latest season “will offer answers to the questions that our viewers have been asking and help untangle the story through time.”
“It will be hard for us to walk away from those characters we have really grown fond of, but the beginning is the end, and the end is the beginning,” the pair told the Hollywood Reporter last year.
In the recently released teaser trailer, we got a glimpse of familiar characters like Jonas, Martha, and Bartosz as they continue to investigate the show’s themes like fate and free will.
“Why am I here?” Jonas can be heard asking in the video.
Netflix’s first German original series stars names like Lisa Vicari (Isi & Ossi), Louis Hoffman (Centre of My World), Maja Schöne (The Fire), Gina Stiebitz (Womb), Oliver Masucci (Look Who’s Back), and Antje Traue (Man of Steel), among others.
