While it's basically fall here in Canada, it's still a little bit early for some of us to start getting in the mood for Halloween. Netflix totally gets us. They have a whole selection of fall movies for us to enjoy that aren't horror or Halloween themed. Don't worry Halloween fans, Netflix also has movies available for you to watch right now too! So snuggle up in your oversized sweater, grab your pumpkin spice latte and check out these fall movies on Netflix Canada

October Kiss

Rating: 6.5/10 on IMDb

You can never go wrong with the Hallmark channel and apparently, Netflix Canada agrees. This obviously fall-themed movie will get you falling in love this fall.

October Kiss is about a nanny named Poppy who is hired by a family who recently lost their mother. While working she teaches the family an important lesson about love and may even find love herself.

Autumn Dreams

Rating: 6.4/10 on IMDb

If there's any perfect setting for watching a corny love story unravel, it's in a city during autumn. With burnt orange leaves littering the floor and characters snuggling up in a warm sweater, there's nothing better than a rom-com in fall.

Netflix's synopsis for Autumn Dreams is, "Years after a teen elopement, a long-separated couple on the verge of marrying other people meet after learning their annulment was never finalized."

Harvest Moon

Rating: 6.3/10 IMDb

Netflix seems to think that the theme of fall is love because Harvest Moon is yet another movie about a couple falling in love during autumn.

This movie follows a privileged girl whos is forced to live on a pumpkin farm after her father files for bankruptcy. But as bad as her life seems, there's someone on that farm who becomes the "secret formula for success and romance in a small town."

Scream

Rating: 79% on Rotten Tomatoes

If you've already decided that fall automatically means Halloween, Netflix does offer some classic horror movies year-round. While their Halloween selection is slim for now, movies like Scream are streaming if you're ready to get spooked.

If you haven't watched Scream, it's your classic thriller. It follows a group of small-town, privileged teens who are being chased down by a masked murderer.
