Christmas movies are a huge part of Holiday traditions in 2019 for a lot of people. With Hallmark movie countdowns, to Elf repeating on your TV for weeks straight, Netflix's original Christmas movies are just an added bonus. But there's other content out there besides movies that can lift your Christmas cheer. Streaming platforms are filled with specials of shows that everyone loves, like Friends Christmas episodes on Netflix Canada.

Chances are your favourite show has a Christmas special just waiting for you to rewatch, and thankfully because Netflix stores season of shows at a time, they're all ready to be streamed!

Who doesn't want to watch Joey Tribiani get a turkey stuck on his head? Or watch Michael Scott fight Phylis for her role as Santa Claus at their annual Christmas party?

Here's everything you need to know about Christmas specials of your favourite shows on Netflix:

Friends

Friends is notorious for their hilarious Christmas and Thanksgiving episodes. Having one episode in almost every season is not something every show does. In can be hard to remember each and every Holiday special since they've had so many. Here's a list of every episode for your Christmas bingeing needs:

  • Season 2, Episode 9 - "The One with Phoebe's Dad"

  • Season 3, Episode 10 - "The One Where Rachel Quits"

  • Season 4, Episode 10 - "The One with the Girl From Poughkeepsie"

  • Season 5, Episode 10 - "The One with the Inappropriate Sister"

  • Season 6, Episode 10 - "The One with the Routine"

  • Season 7, Episode 10 - "The One with the Holiday Armadillo"

  • Season 8, Episode 11 - "The One with the Creepy Holiday Card"

  • Season 9, Episode 10 - "The One with Christmas in Tulsa"

You're welcome.

The Office

Like Friends, The Office brings us humour for literally any occasion, including their iconic holiday episodes. With seven in total, the Dunder Mifflin clan will keep you busy for hours with their Christmas celebrations:

  • Season 2, Episode 10 - "Christmas Party"

  • Season 3, Episode 10&11 - "A Benihana Christmas"

  • Season 5, Episode 11 - "Moroccan Christmas"

  • Season 6, Episode 13 - "Secret Santa"

  • Season 7, Episode 11&12 - "Classy Christmas"

  • Season 8, Episode 10 - "Christmas Wishes"

  • Season 9, Episode 9 - "Dwight Christmas"

Sense 8

Sense 8, although it fought many battles with its time streaming on Netflix, managed to sneak one Christmas special in.

The writers used the Christmas special as an opportunity to tie together season 1. "Happy F*cking New Year: A Christmas Special" on paper is the first episode of season 2 but can definitely be watched as a one-off for fans of the show.

Riverdale

While Riverdale's one Christmas episode (Season 2 Episode 9: "Silent Night, Deadly Night") isn't exactly cheery, it's still iconic.

It's perfect for those who aren't really into all the tinsel and carols but still want to mark Christmas somehow. With hooded figures and murderers disguised as Santa Claus, this Christmas special is a ride.

Schitt's Creek

The Schitt's Creek Christmas special (Season 4 Episode 13 "Merry Christmas, Johnny Rose") may just be the most heartwarming episode in the entire series. With the Roses reflecting on the past and how far they've come it truly was the perfect way to end off season 4.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

The Christmas special for Brooklyn Nine-Nine came earlier on in the series (Season 1 Episode 11 "Christmas"). While like Riverdale it wasn't all "Jolly and Bright", unless you count criminal Santa's, it still has a heartwarming ending that is the definition of Christmas spirit!
