With so many shows coming and going from streaming services on a daily basis, it can be hard to keep track of which ones are worth watching. If you're looking for something new and exciting to check out ASAP, Lost in Space on Netflix just released its second season.

If you're not familiar, the Netflix original is about the Robinsons, a family of space colonists. When they're unexpectedly faced with a rip in the time-space continuum, they're forced to crash land on an unknown planet.

Upon landing, the Robinsons realize that this planet isn't exactly friendly, and in order to survive, they'll have to take down a very hostile alien so that they can escape the planet and return to safety.

The first season of Lost in Space hit Netflix back in April of 2018 and was actually filmed in Vancouver but that's not the only Canadian connection you'll find.

Some of the Netflix original's main cast, namely Taylor Russell and Molly Parker, also happen to be Canadian born and bred, which is pretty awesome.

Russell is a 25-year-old from Vancouver. She's been in films like Escape RoomWaves, and Down A Dark Hall. Parker, on the other hand, hails from Maple Ridge, B.C., and has had roles in GoliathDeadwood, and 1922.

The second season of Lost in Space hit Netflix today, December 24. If you're looking for something action-packed and full of thrilling moments to get you through the rest of the holiday season, it's a perfect choice.

Other noteworthy cast members on the show include Toby Stevens, Parker Posey, Mina Sundwall, and Brian Steele, just to name a few.

It's been a huge month for Netflix, with the release of huge films like Marriage Story and 6 Underground skyrocketing to success. If you thought 2019 was a big year, just wait until you see what the platform has in store for 2020.

All 10 episodes of Lost in Space season two are now available for streaming on Netflix. Be sure to check out the show's trailer below.
