We've all been there. You're checking out a new show or movie that you heard decent reviews about, but before the plot even begins to unveil itself, you know that you're going to hate what's on the big screen, yet you can't bring yourself to quit watching. According to some viewers, Medical Police on Netflix Canada is a show that fits that description perfectly.

Today, January 10, the streaming service released a new series about two American doctors that find themselves in São Paulo, Brazil. During their visit, they uncover that a deadly virus is threatening civilization as we know it.

In order to save the world, these two doctors are recruited as government agents so that they can potentially find a cure while they race against time around the world.

The show combines all the medical drama of Grey's Anatomy with the comedy and detective work of Brooklyn Nine-Nine to create a show unlike anything you've ever seen before — except you totally have seen it before.

Medical Police actually comes from the same brains who created the Adult Swim channel's Children's Hospital, and even stars the same actors (Rob Huebel and Erinn Hayes).

The show has only been on Netflix for a few hours, but audiences have already begun to weigh in on Twitter.

"Medical Police on Netflix is the dumbest show I've ever seen in my life. I love it," one person tweeted.

"Medical Police is absolutely the dumbest show on Netflix I can’t stop watching," commented another viewer.

Also hitting the platform today is RuPaul's AJ and the Queen and season two of the superhero series Titans, so there's plenty for you to binge-watch over the upcoming weekend.

If Medical Police sounds like your kind of show, be sure to watch the trailer for the new Netflix original below.
