For years now, Grey's Anatomy has been one of the most popular shows on TV, mostly due to its incredibly good looking cast, and dramatic, twisted storylines. Another show that people love for totally different reasons is Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but now, the two shows are coming together in Medical Police on Netflix Canada.
Now, to be clear, we're not getting a Meredith Grey meets Jake Peralta crossover, but we are getting a totally new series that brings the best parts of these two awesome shows together like never before.
Earlier today, Netflix released the trailer for Medical Police, a show about two American doctors (played by Erinn Hayes and Rob Huebel) who, after being stationed at a pediatric hospital in Brazil, uncover a virus that could threaten civilization as we know it.
"They’re soon recruited as secret government agents and find themselves in a race against time to find a cure, all the while uncovering a dark conspiracy at the center of the outbreak," the show's synopsis reads.
Basically, the new Netflix original brings together the most thrilling parts of saving lives and fighting crime and mixes it with an obligatory love story, and of course, some hilarious comedy to top it all off.
The show's stars, Hayes and Huebel, are no strangers to working together — they actually starred in the Adult Swim show Childrens Hospital together before it ended back in 2016.
The OG series is actually the predecessor to Medical Police, so fingers crossed that the new series lives up to its legacy.
Other stars of the upcoming series include Sarayu Blue (I Feel Bad), Fred Melamed (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), and Eric Nenninger (Wet Hot American Summer: First Day at Camp), just to name a few.
Medical Police hits Netflix in the new year on January 10. You can check out the show's trailer below.
