It seems like a lot of North American tours being announced by celebs these days should be called something more appropriate. Something like an American Tour with a dash of Canada. It's happening time and time again as celebs announce a North American tour for Canadians only to be disappointed when they realize the one show in their country is a 6-hour plane ride away. This has happened with Alessia Cara's tour announcement, the Schitt's Creek Live tour announcement, and most recently Michael Bublé's North American tour dates.
Ironically the artists that seem to be visiting Canadian cities less are the ones that are Canadian. And while it may be because they consider Canada home, it is a big country and flying across it for one night of entertainment isn't exactly worth it.
Michael Bublé's 2020 North American tour announcement comes while the Canadian artist is still on his world tour. For the past few weeks, he's been in a different European city each night.
The reasoning for the new tour announcement was because of the success this world tour brought him. The North American tour will consist of "27 new North American tour dates in 2020 following the phenomenal global success of his An Evening With Michael Bublé Tour."
Ticket's for his tour go on sale on November 18 at 10 am.
The tours national promoter released a statement admitting that "The demand to see Michael Bublé in concert is bigger than ever and with his high visibility around Christmas time, tickets truly make an ideal holiday gift."
The tour will start off March 17 in Jacksonville Florida and end in Moncton, New Brunswick May 23.
A list of all 27 tour dates can be found here.
If you're looking to catch Bublé in Canada aside from his show in Moncton, he'll also be in Halifax on May 22.
Although his Canadian dates are limited, his tour promoter is right, they do make perfect Christmas gifts!
