Netflix Canada Just Added A Feature No One Asked For & Fans Are So Pissed
Netflix users are SO unimpressed.
If there's one thing that Netflix has proven to be good at over the years, it's ignoring the demands of its customers. You suddenly fall in love with a show? Netflix makes sure to cancel it. You don't want spoilers? Netflix gives away the film's entire plot in a three-minute trailer. Netflix Canada adds a "Coming Soon" feature but users aren't interested at all.
On its latest quest to make audiences happy, Netflix has announced a new feature that will show the latest options that the streaming service has made available. The feature will show features that are brand new, coming this week, and coming next week. Users will also have an option to receive reminders when these new shows and movies are online.
There definitely are some benefits to this new feature, especially if you're the kind of person who can't keep track of all of Netflix's latest and greatest content. However, a lot of people are seriously upset that Netflix is rolling out this feature despite having cancelled their favourite shows, most notably, The OA.
The people have spoken, and they want The OA back.
It would appear that Netflix is rolling out this feature as a tactic to keep up with its other streaming service competitors. Disney+ is set to launch in the U.S. and Canada in November of this year and is offering some amazing content for users to stream at much lower prices than Netflix.
Netflix has been working hard to keep the ball in their court throughout this streaming service war. Over the weekend they released trailers for a Travis Scott documentary that will give an exclusive look into the rappers life on the road and at home with his family, as well as for the long-awaitedthat fans have been waiting for since 2013.
Who will win the streaming service war? It's hard to tell, but at this point, I think we can all agree that Netflix, the long-time champion, has some major competition coming it's way.
