Similar in style to The Bachelor and 90 Day Fiancé, the nine-episode series hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey follows 20 millennials on the search for love. The contestants talk through a wall where they can't see each other and form connections before meeting in person. The one big catch: they must get engaged before even meeting face to face.

The premise is worth a watch for the shock factor. These eight shows are just as entertaining and some are pretty controversial. 

The Circle

This brand new series came out just before Love Is Blind and is a similar concept. Eight people speak to each other through text only while forming friendships, alliances, and some enemies. The catch: some use their actual photos and others are pure catfishes. It's up to the players to figure out who's who. 

Dating Around

The first season of this dating series came in 2019 and a second one is coming soon. Each episode features one single person who goes on five blind dates in hopes of finding their future soulmate.

Extreme Engagement

IMDb rating: 5.3/10

Follow the adventures of the newly-engaged couple PJ Madam and Tim Noonan as they travel the world learning about other countries' cultures and customs. The eight-episode series exposes whether the couple was brought closer together or torn apart. You'll have to watch to find out.

What The Love! with Karan Johar

IMDb rating: 3.0/10

Coming from Netflix India, this reality TV hosted by Karan Johar just premiered in January. He helps six young millennials find new love and get into fresh relationships with a little help from other celebs and a glam team.

Age Gap Love 

IMDb rating: 5.7/10

If you're interested in learning about different types of relationships, you'll want to sink your teeth into this six-episode series following couples with quite large age gaps. The trailer follows 78-year-old Edna and 39-year-old Simon, and they're one of many couples with a nearly 40 year age difference.

Back with the Ex

This Australian series centers around four couples who once dated and broke up years prior. They're challenged with seeing if they can rekindle or the romance or put it to rest.

Yummy Mummies

If controversial reality TV is totally your thing, you'll want to check out this 2017 series that the trailer calls "Australia's most controversial show". Four moms-to-be who live lavish and over-the-top lifestyles, meet and compare their preparations and challenges while waiting for their bundles of joy to arrive.

3 Wives One Husband

For some, finding just one perfect match isn't enough. In this 2018 series from TLC, the four episodes follow different polygamous families living in Rockland Ranch who share children, homes, and of course, a husband.
