We all look forward to the weekend but sometimes those two days aren't what we expect them to be. Having no plans for the weekend can be extremely boring. Luckily, we live in 2019 which means the majority of us have access to the number one boredom preventer — Netflix. If you're not sure what to watch on Netflix Canada this weekend, take a look at the list below.

Whether you feel like watching a movie, TV show, or comedy skit, Netflix Canada has it all.

The Notebook

Rating: 53% on Rotten Tomatoes

The Notebook is your classic rom-com and while I have hope that you've probably already watched this film a million times, this is the last time you'll be able to stream it on Netflix Canada. The Nicholas Sparks story will be leaving the platform on Sept. 1

The Notebook is about a couple in the 1940s struggling to maintain their relationship because of their different social statuses.

Stream it one last time!

Mindhunter

Rating: 98% on Rotten Tomatoes

I have not heard anyone stop talking about Mindhunter lately and that's because season two was recently released on Netflix. While I haven't watched the series myself, it's at the top of my ever-growing must-watch list, and now I'm putting it on yours.

If you love crime series and are obsessed with the Ted Bundy Tapes this show is perfect for you. Netflix's synopsis for the show reads, "In the late 1970s two FBI agents expand criminal science by delving into the psychology of murder and getting uneasily close to all-too-real monsters."

Elite

Rating: 100% on Rotten Tomatoes

People have been calling this show "a better version of Riverdale" especially after it's season two trailer was released. If you're like me and got your heart ripped out when Riverdale season two and three just wasn't quality content, this show is perfect to mend you back together.

Elite is a Spanish teen drama that follows three middle-class students enrolling in a private school that creates a negative domino effect and ends in murder.

Friday Night Lights

This is another classic movie that is actually just hitting Netflix this weekend! If you haven't watch Friday Night Lights it's definitely worth the two hours. If anything, after watching it you'll be more up to date on some pop culture references!

Friday Night Lights follows a football coach who is just starting a new job at a small-town Texas high school. He's set with the challenge to get his team to win a championship.

If you're obsessed with the new show All American, this movie is perfect for you!

Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready

If you're just looking for some chill, feel-good comedy, then there's nothing better then some standup comedy. Especially when you can enjoy the stand up from your couch with popcorn.
