Since GoT ended, many people have been looking for a new and similar show to watch and it looks like we may have gotten it. Netflix Canada's "The Witcher" adaptation looks like the new "Game Of Thrones".
If you're not familiar, the show will be based on a series of fantasy novels by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, which were later turned into a series of video games that lead to their popularization in North America.
The series tells the story of Geralt of Rivia, a specially bred mutant whose purpose is to hunt monsters in a medieval world. The trailer was released by Netflix at the San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, and news of the adaptation has fans seriously excited.
This isn't the first time "The Witcher" has taken over the big screen. Back in 2001 and 2002, Polish studios adapted the series into a TV show and movie, but this is the first time Americans have gotten the opportunity to bring Geralt to life.
Usually, when they release a new trailer, Netflix includes a release date for any upcoming shows or movies, but with "The Witcher" trailer, no specific date was included. Reports have said that we can anticipate the series late in the Fall of 2019.
If you're not one for playing video games or reading fantasy books, the series may still entice you! The trailer is full of magic, mystery, and intrigue, and the cast also happens to look seriously amazing.
