Using your weekends in December to binge-watch all of Netflix's original Christmas movies is a pretty mindless and relaxing way to get in the holiday spirit. That was until viewers were left confused when they realized that Netflix Christmas Movies from 2019 are all connected. Instead of having their subscribers spend hours trying to figure out how they relate to one another, Netflix wrote an entire Twitter thread complete with a diagram to explain their version of the MCU.

When The Knight Before Christmas was released a few weeks ago, fans realized a strange connection between the film and the long-running holiday film series A Christmas Prince

A character in the medieval love story mentions the fictional nation of Aldovia where A Christmas Prince is set.

When dedicated fans started mentioning other easter eggs in films like The Princess Switch, The Holiday Calendar, and Christmas Inheritance, Netflix decided it was time to step in.

According to the diagram, a total of eight films are involved in the universe. It could take a while to wrap your head around their connections.

Basically, The Knight Before Christmas and A Christmas Prince take place in the same reality, while the others are actually films within their reality.

So does that mean Vanessa Hudgens' character Brooke in The Knight Before Christmas becomes an actress who stars in The Princess Switch

The media services provider also continued in the Twitter thread and shared how the Universe was created.

It all started because of producers who requested a film be shown on the TV in The Holiday Calendar

An executive producer commented on the matter and said, “It felt like a natural fit to show one of our other films available on Netflix.”

From there, the rest of the universe just began to grow. "That one seed of an idea soon turned into fun opportunity to tie the various worlds together with small easter eggs from movie to movie."

In the end, they thought “it would be a great opportunity to build out a whole universe, not just for Aldovia but for the whole world of our Christmas movies!"

There's also amazing news for fans of their universe — they're not finished!

The next holiday season is coming with more Christmas originals and the media provider wants us to know that, "With a Princess Switch sequel called Switched Again & Operation Christmas Drop coming in 2020, Netflix’s Holiday Movie Universe isn’t done yet!"

Rein in the excitement, this is only the beginning!
