Netflix is wasting no time on their Christmas movie rollout. On November 1, literally the day after Halloween, Netflix is saying goodbye to "Netflix and Chills" and hello to "Netflix and Cheer." Netflix Christmas Movies will begin hitting the platform on November 1 starting with Holiday in The Wild. Netflix Original A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby will drop on December 5th.
Also part of Netflix's Christmas releases is the third installment to Netflix's biggest Christmas hit A Christmas Prince. This part will follow the events of last year's movie A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding.
A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby starring Rose McIver and Ben Lamb will hit the streaming platform on December 5. This movie will follow the Royal couple on their newest adventure: parenthood. No surprise there, the movies have always been loosely based on the real-life relationship between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The film will focus on Queen Amber and King Richard preparing Aldovia for their needed time off to care for their new bundle of joy. We can, of course, expect a sprinkle of drama in the middle of all that.
Before they can enjoy this new era in their lives, King Tai and Queen Ming come to visit where they announce a 600-year-old truce must be renewed. Things get complicated when the treaty goes missing and Queen Amber only has until Christmas Eve (obviously) to find it.
People Magazine released an exclusive first look at the upcoming movie with photos of the royals preparing for Christmas and looking very pregnant.
We also got a quick glimpse at the new film in the promo video Netflix released for their holiday movie promotion!
If how well the first two movies did is any indication, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby is bound to break Christmas movie records for Netflix this coming December. Even with the bad reviews the sequel got, the movie still did well.
Other movies and TV shows announced as part of Netflix's Christmas haul include Merry Happy Whatever, Klaus, and Let it Snow.
