With so many streaming services and so much content out there for you to consume, it can hard to decide what to spend your time watching. One thing that should definitely be on your radar though, is October Faction on Netflix.
Yesterday afternoon, the streaming service released the trailer for a new series about two 17-year old twins whose lives are turned totally upside down when they come to the realization that their parents, who are insurance sales reps by day, live double lives as monster-hunting assassins by night.
October Faction is based on the graphic novels of the same name by Steve Niles and Damien Worm, which have risen to popularity since they were first released back in 2015.
Although Netflix does occasionally cast its stars in other projects, the streaming service is also known to be a great starting place for many up and coming actors, and this new series is full of fresh faces.
Netflix has also been known to show some Canadian representation in its casting, but with October Faction they went all in, hiring all Canadian actors to play the show's principal characters.
As a cherry on top, the series was also filmed in Cambridge, Ontario from September to December of 2018.
Some Canadian celebrities you may recognize while watching include J.C. MacKenzie (The Irishman), Tamara Taylor (Bones), Megan Follows (Reign), Wendy Crewson (The Santa Clause franchise), and Stephen McHattie (Watchmen).
Netflix also took a chance on up and coming Canadian stars Gabriel Darku and Taveeta Szymanowicz for the new series.
Also coming to the app this month is RuPaul's AJ and the Queen, and the hilarious comedy Medical Police, both of which you can watch while you wait to fall in love with the aforementioned Canadian stars.
October Faction is coming to Netflix on January 23. You can check out the trailer for the new series below.
