We may be just a few days into November, but you can definitely feel a little bit of the holiday spirit in the air here in Canada. Snow has already been falling in some parts of the country for weeks now, and people have begun taking down their Halloween decorations and replacing them with twinkly lights and plenty of red and green. Generally speaking, those who really love Christmas tend to go all out for the holiday, and if you're one of those people, we've got just the thing for you to add to your holiday bucket list. Here are some Ontario Christmas movie filming locations you can actually visit.

If you live in or have ever visited Ontario, you may be familiar with some of the adorable small towns that are not only home to friendly people but also just so happen to feel like they were taken right out of a Christmas movie. One spot, in particular, that's been a filming location for an abundance of holiday movies over the years is the city of Newmarket.

Movies like A Very Country Christmas, Christmas Wedding Planner, and Hometown Holiday have been filmed at least partially in Newmarket, and that doesn't even begin to cover the entire list!

If you're in Newmarket and hoping to visit some of the cities' popular filming locations, you'll want to check out Holland Marsh Winery, Fairy Lake, Little Brew Hops, and the Pink Flamingo, just to name a few.

The company that's produced many of these Christmas films is called Brain Power Studio and was actually moved to the city of Newmarket by its creator Beth Stevenson a few years back.

When asked why she moved Brain Power to Newmarket, Stevenson said, "Having so many historic locations [and] a vibrant creative community was a real attraction... Not having to commute to Toronto to be in the entertainment business has been amazing. It has been so surprising to find so many great, creative people from the film and television industry who live within the Newmarket Community."

With Christmas quickly approaching over the coming weeks, you'll want to make sure you have plenty of holiday movies and shows to watch to get you through the cold winter days, but make sure you pick some of the ones that were filmed in Cannada!
