If you love shows that are full of crime, drama, and mystery, you'll be happy to know that Netflix just announced an Ozark season three release date, and it's coming a lot sooner than you'd think.
Back in 2017, Netflix released the first season of the American crime drama, about an economic advisor named Marty Byrde who suddenly moves his family from Chicago to Missouri after a money-laundering scheme goes wrong.
In order to pay back the Mexican drug cartel, Marty has to set up a larger laundering operation in the Ozarks, but upon arrival, he and his family find themselves entangled with incredibly dangerous local criminals.
The show's first season received pretty positive reviews and scored a 70% on Rotten Tomatoes. The second season managed to do even better, scoring a 76% on the rating platform after it was released in August of 2018.
Many Netflix originals will have you waiting roughly 12 months before you're able to stream a new season, but Ozark proved that it works faster than most this morning when it announced that a third season will be coming to the streaming service this March.
The announcement video didn't include much info about the next season's plot, but the release date alone might be enough to get fans through the next few months.
According to Deadline, season three will pick up six months after the events of season two. These new episodes see the casino up and running, but also show Marty and Wendy fighting for control of the Byrde family destiny.
Marty wants to keep things as they are, but Wendy has formed alliances with others and is hoping to expand the laundering process. When Wendy's brother, Ben, comes into town though, life becomes even more complicated.
The official release date for Ozark season three is March 27, 2020.
