You may know the American actor from his Disney show Even Stevens or from his long-term role as Sam Witwicky in the Transformers franchise. In 2019, two critically acclaimed films, Honey Boy and The Peanut Butter Falcon premiered, the former of which was written by him. Now, Pieces of a Woman star Shia LaBeouf and his castmates are currently filming in Montreal.
Entertainment Weekly wrote that the story revolves “around the strained relationship of a grieving husband and wife (as well as the latter’s estranged mother), Pieces of a Woman chart’s the pair’s emotional journey following a home birth that goes tragically awry.”
Earlier this month, ET Canada shared a photo of LaBeouf who “was spotted wearing a blue beanie, construction jacket, plaid shirt, brown pants and Nike trainers” after getting “back on his grind” to film in Montreal.
According to IMDb, one of LaBeouf’s co-stars is comedian Iliza Schlesinger. Today she shared Instagram videos of her jumping into the freezing cold snow wearing nothing but a black two-piece bathing suit. She tagged her location as Montreal, Quebec and added the caption, “AND I WOULD DO IT AGAIN! My grandchildren are going to want to know what snow was and I intend to give’em a detailed story!”
Yesterday, Schlesinger posted an Instagram story where she said that she’s “never known a cold like this” while standing in the streets of Montreal.
IMDb notes that The Crown star Vanessa Kirby also has a role in the film. She first posted a photo of the set in November that showed a sign that says “Labour Ward” and in the caption, she tagged #PiecesOfAWoman.
Last month, Kirby used the same hashtag accompanying a picture of a night scene tagged in the location of Montreal, Quebec.
Another one of the movie’s stars, Jimmie Fails, shared a photoset of him in Old Montreal in mid-December and in the caption he wrote that he’s “A happy camper.”
Entertainment Weekly reported that a “release date has yet to be announced” and IMDb doesn’t list an expected premiere date.
