We know and love the actor for his role as David Rose's fiancé, Patrick Brewer. Born and raised in Toronto, he adds to the abundant cast of Canadian actors on the CBC sitcom. But Schitt's Creek's Noah Reid got his television start years ago and we actually grew up watching his work.

Reid was born in May 1987 and his first role came in 1996 when he was just nine years old. According to IMDb, the actor had a part in Sandra Bullock's In Love and War.

A year later, he began a seven-year tenure voicing Franklin Turtle in the animated TV series. From 1997 to 2004, Reid voiced 41 episodes as the turtle starting at 10 years old until he was 17. In 2001, he also voiced the main character in Franklin's Magic Christmas

His co-stars included Leah Renee as Beaver, Elizabeth Saunders as Mrs. Turtle, and Richard Newman as Mr. Turtle.

Franklin is one of the many shows we grew up watching that was actually filmed in Canada.

That includes the animated comedy Babar that revolved around the adventures of elephants and was recorded in Toronto. Reid's IMDb page notes that he voiced Pom for 13 episodes on the series in 2000.

During production on Franklin, Reid took another voice acting gig as Screwy on Rolie Polie Olie. IMDb lists him as a voice actor in nine episodes from 2001 to 2004.

Since his voice acting career slowed down, the 32-year-old has starred in shows including Strange Days at Blake Holsey High as Marshall Wheeler, Backpackers as Ryan, and played the lead role in Kevin from Work. He even appeared in one episode of Degrassi: The Next Generation in 2009.

Reid joined the Schitt's Creek cast in 2017, playing the part of David's business partner turned romantic partner. The series is currently in its sixth and final season, which follows the couple planning their wedding.

Acting isn't Reid's only talent since he is also a songwriter and musician and released a debut album in 2016 called Songs From A Broken Chair.

You can catch Reid on the next episodes of Schitt's Creek on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on CBC.
