Spare a moment for Schitt's Creek fans because the series finale is coming next year and no one is emotionally ready for it. After six beautiful and hilarious seasons, the Rose family will be saying goodbye to the tiny and run-down Rosebud Motel. Of course, the semi-smooth sailing of it wouldn't be possible without Stevie Budd, the manager who later becomes co-owner with Johnny Rose. Stevie is one of the beloved characters we'll be saying goodbye to and Schitt's Creek Emily Hampshire promised a satisfying series finale, but a box of tissues will still be mandatory.
The first episode of season six will premiere on CBC on January 7, which means there's now less than one month until the beginning of the end.
Hampshire recently interviewed with Bustle and discussed the final ending to the show.
She said to them, "You will be so satisfied. You will not only be satisfied but pleasantly surprised and hopeful. I mean even if a fire burns down the whole motel and everyone in the town dies, you're still hopeful."
Hampshire also noted that co-creator Dan Levy, "absolutely has respected the fans by giving them this ending that he always had planned."
Levy recently shared that he cried for a whopping five hours on the day they shot the final episode, and the day was full of emotional goodbyes.
Schitt's Creek has gained so much popularity since it first premiered in 2015, winning awards and nominations, and was named the best show on TV too.
The Schitt's Creek Instagram account shared today that they received five nominations for the 2020 Critics Choice Awards.
All four members of the Rose family are nominated in the Comedy Series category. Eugene Levy is nominated for Best Actor, Catherine O'Hara for Best Actress, Dan Levy for Best Supporting Actor, and Annie Murphy for Best Supporting Actress.
The show is nominated for Best Comedy Series as well.
They also recently posted a sneak peek at what the infamous creek actually looks like in a photoset on Instagram that shows Johnny and Moira on a romantic afternoon picnic date.
Stevie got her Broadway debut at the end of season five soon after finding out her BFF David Rose got engaged to his love, Patrick Brewer.
Time will tell what her fate is in the tiny little town of Schitt's Creek.
