Aquaman has arrived! Canada has gained a new resident for the next couple of months and his time in the country apparently started off a little chilly. See season 2, starring Jason Momoa, has begun filming in Ontario and the actor posted about his snowy arrival on Instagram.
In a tribute dedicated to his wife and family this past Valentine’s Day, Momoa revealed that he was spending the day in -20 weather, “happy valentine’s day my lovees i’m sorry papas not home it’s -20 in Canada today. working outside with my cast and crew of SEE 2.”
He also mentioned how thankful he was to be “making art” even though it happened to be “in the f***ing cold.”
Along with the sweet message, he included a photo of himself in an open field of snow surrounded by forest.
According to What’s Filming, Momoa will get to enjoy both a Canadian winter and summer. Production for See season 2 began on February 3 and is set to continue until July 10.
If you aren’t familiar with Momoa’s most recent project, the series takes place in a dystopian future where humans have lost their ability to see. However, their way of life is questioned when a set of twins are born with perfect vision.
The Honolulu-born actor takes on the character Baba Voss, father of the twins, in the science-fiction drama.
Season one of the Apple TV+ original spent the early months of 2019 shooting in British Columbia. However, it was confirmed earlier in January that filming had been moved to southwestern Ontario for season 2.
A casting call was even sent out in St.Thomas, Ontario looking for extras to be a part of the production.
The first season premiered on November 1 with episodes continuing to air every Friday until December.
A premiere date for See season 2 had yet to be released.
