February may be known for its notoriously chilly weather, but that doesn’t stop casts and crews from working through the cold to create new content for audiences everywhere. Throughout the month of February, the shows and movies filming in Vancouver are endless, and if you’re lucky enough, you just might catch some of the actors in the city.

Netflix originals, Disney+ reboots, and brand new Apple TV+ series are just some of the projects bringing some of Hollywood’s biggest stars (and some up and coming actors) to beautiful British Columbia.

Riverdale stars like KJ Apa and Cole Sprouse are frequently out and about in the city, but it’s not often that you get the chance to see Emilio Estevez or Hilary Swank up close. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled whenever you’re walking the streets of Van City next month—you never know who you could run into.

The Mighty Ducks

According to Exclaim, the Disney+ Mighty Ducks reboot will be filming in Vancouver from February 10 until June 1. Emilio Estevez is the only cast member that’s been confirmed so far, but it will be interesting to see if any other OG stars return for the new series.

Aurora Teagarden Mysteries 13: Heist and Seek

According to What’s Filming, Aurora Teagarden Mysteries 13: Hide and Seek began filming in Van City on January 27 and will wrap up on Valentine’s Day. The new movie stars Full House actress Candace Cameron Bure and is part of a series based on the Aurora Teagarden novels by Charlaine Harris.

Woke

Lamorne Morris is known for his work on the hit sitcom New Girl, but What’s Filming says that he’s currently in Vancouver working on a new series called Woke. The website says that shooting will take place from January 13 to February 25.

The Haunting of Bly Manor

Netflix began filming the follow-up to it’s hit series The Haunting of Hill House back in September of 2019, What’s Filming reports. According to Pop Buzz, The Haunting of Bly Manor is expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2020 after filming wraps in late February.

Resident Alien

Resident Alien stars Alan Tudyk and began filming in November of 2019, according to What’s Filming. IMDb says that the series “follows a crash-landed alien named Harry who takes on the identity of a small-town Colorado doctor, slowly begins to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his secret mission on Earth.”

Home Before Dark (Season 2)

Filming for the second season of the Apple TV+ series began before the first season was even added to the streaming service. According to IMDb, Home Before Dark is about “a young girl from the big city [who] uncovers clues to an unsolved cold case while visiting her father's small lakeside town.”
