It’s Clare’s turn to hand out the roses! After last night’s dramatic season finale of The Bachelor, ABC has treated us with photos of The Bachelorette 2020 contestants, and it turns out that two of them are Canadian.

Since the Canadian franchise of the hit show seems to be obsolete after Jasmine Lorimer’s season, production still tends to cast a few contestants from the Great White North here and there.

Most recently, Langley’s Mykenna Dorn competed for a shot at love with Peter Weber, and although she didn’t end up with the California pilot, she did make a big impression on viewers of the show, and her home country.

Earlier this morning the official Bachelorette Facebook page uploaded photos of the men we’ll get to meet this May when the season premieres and the cast is looking pretty diverse.

Crawley, who hails from Sacramento, California, is soon to be 39 years old, making her the oldest Bachelorette in the history of the show’s 16 seasons. To the surprise of many, only one of this year’s contestants is older than the hairstylist, and the youngest contestant is just 23 years old.

The first Canadian who will be starring on the reality TV show is 29-year-old Blake Moynes from Hamilton, Ontario.

Moynes is receiving plenty of love from fans on Facebook so far. “This gentleman. His eyes are great and he looks honest,” one person commented.

“He looks kind. And well he’s a fellow Canadian so he gets my 1st rose,” said another.

The second Canadian on the list is 38-year-old Mike T. from Calgary, Alberta.

“Now that’s more like it! Age-appropriate and handsome 🌹,” one comment reads.

Crawley is no stranger to dating Canadians. After her stint on Bachelor Winter Games, she was engaged to Montreal’s Benoit Beausejour-Savard for a short time before they eventually broke up.

Season 16 of The Bachelorette premieres on May 18. Be sure to tune in and root for your fellow Canadians on their quest for love!
