Family Channel Star Michael Seater Is Back On TV With His Series 'The Wedding Planners'
He's back on your screen March 27!
Do you hear wedding bells? It’s been years since Michael Seater’s days as a Family Channel star on Life with Derek. However, the Canadian actor is getting ready to embark on a new TV journey with his new show The Wedding Planners on Citytv.
Kimberly-Sue Murray and Madeline Leon star alongside Seater in a series that follows three siblings whose family owns a wedding planning business. The siblings are unexpectedly forced to take over Clarkson Wedding Essentials and must put their differences aside to plan the wedding of a lifetime.
In an interview with Brief Take, Seater explained how he felt sitting in the actor’s chair again, “I’ve been directing, producing for the most part, and this is the first time in a long time that I’ve done a full series. I think that this is nice, if you don’t wear so many hats.”
Since wrapping up on Life with Derek back in 2009, the 33-year-old actor has had supporting roles on shows like Murdoch Mysteries and Bomb Girls, according to IMDb.
He’s also spent time directing People Hold On that landed a Canadian Screen Award nomination for an original song written by Schitt’s Creek actor Noah Reid.
Brief Take also reported that the Canadian show was filmed at Newmarket’s Brain Power Studio as well as a Newmarket chapel.
The series is set to air as part of Citytv’s “Fall In Love Friday’s” with the first of five episodes premiering on March 27.
