Today Is The Last Day Of Filming For ‘Schitt’s Creek’ Ever And The Cast Is Super Emotional
Filming for the last season is wrapping up.
Over the years, Schitt's Creek has become a staple in the lives of many Canadians. We've fallen in love with the talented and hilarious cast and gotten totally wrapped up in the twist and turns of the intriguing storyline. It was announced a while back that the upcoming season of the show would be the last, so you may be wondering - when does season 6 of Schitt's Creek premiere?
Today, June 27th, is actually the last day of filming for Schitt's Creek EVER, and the cast is feeling super emotional. Emily Hampshire, who plays Stevie Budd in the series, took to Instagram this morning to dedicate a post to the big day.
Emily captioned the video, "The first time I shot at the motel ⚠️ ⚠️WARNING: today is our LAST day of #schittscreek EVER (😭) so I will be posting a significant amount of #tbt from the past 6 years. Consider urselves warned. #bestwisheswarmestregards."
When you've been working on a project for over four years, it's more than understandable to get a little upset about it coming to a close, especially when you're working with the likes of Eugene and Dan Levy!
As promised, Emily has been posting throwbacks all morning and will continue to do so throughout the day, so stay tuned to her Instagram to laugh (and maybe cry) along.
Although there's not an exact date for the season 6 release yet, we know that it consists of 14 episodes, and will be airing in 2020 on CBC in Canada, and on Pop in the United States. The show is also available for streaming on Netflix, you may just have to wait a few months before you can watch the new episodes.
Back in March of this year, Dan Levy sent out an emotional and heartwarming message to fans about the show's impending end. Although we're sad to see Schitt's Creek go, at least we know that even the creators are happy with the ending.
