Netflix isn’t holding back! The streaming service has been releasing brand new content at lightning speed, keeping its users satisfied while spending more time at home. Their latest project, a reality series called Win the Wilderness was just released today.

If you’ve ever seen The Amazing Race, you already have a pretty good idea of what this new series will be like. Win the Wilderness follows six British couples as they compete against one another in a series of rigorous challenges in hopes of winning their dream house in Alaska.

The home is currently owned by Duane and Rena Ose, an elderly couple who claimed the land and built the house themselves over three decades ago. Now that the Ose’s are getting older, they’re looking for a new couple to take over the beautiful property for them.

According to PopSugar, the Ose’s Alaska residence is 100 miles from the nearest public road, and completely “off the grid”.

The six competing couples will first be taken to Lost Lake, a controlled environment where they’ll complete a variety of activities in order to prove their wilderness skills. Whichever couples impress the Ose’s the most will be invited back to their property.

As the episodes continue, remaining couples will face bigger challenges each week, helping the Ose’s decide which one of them is best prepared to inherit their Alaskan property.

PopSugar reports that the show originally aired on BBC, but has since been taken on by Netflix as a part of their original programming. If the first season does well enough, we may just get to see more similar content!

Reality TV has been taking off on the streaming service in 2020. The Circle, Love Is Blind, and Too Hot to Handle have all caught the attention of audiences all across the world, and some of the shows have already been renewed for several more seasons.

All six episodes of Win the Wilderness hit Netflix on April 22. You can check out the trailer for the exhilarating reality series below.
