All The Photos Of “You” Season 2 That Show It Will Be So Much Better Than Season 1
The premiere is officially less than a month away!
If you're a fan of the psychological thriller that hit Netflix last December, then you were likely stoked when they recently released the first look at season two of You. The first season was based on a book of the same name by Caroline Kepnes, and the next one will loosely follow the story in her sequel, Hidden Bodies. Penn Badgley plays lead character Joe Goldberg, who's the type of guy most people would hope to not get mixed up with. Despite its totally creepy nature, viewers loved the first 10 episodes and the You season two photos show there's a lot to look forward to.
The first season was set and filmed in New York City, where Goldberg met his love interest, Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail).
He stopped at nothing to get Beck to fall for him, and viewers got an inside look at Goldberg's stalking tendencies and serial killer behaviour.
Beck won't be returning in season two of You, and Goldberg's new love interest is someone he discovers while on a trip to Los Angeles. He ends up moving to LA to court character Love Quinn, played by Victoria Pedretti.
The You Instagram account posted this photo of the new character Ellie Alves (Jenna Ortea), interacting with Badgley's character. They captioned it, "A reminder to protect @jennaortega at all costs".
They also shared a photo of Goldberg walking alone looking pretty innocent but their caption, "The only time trying to blend in is a big red flag" hints that he's not up to anything good.
The end of the first season introduced Goldberg's ex-girlfriend, Candace Stone (Ambyr Childers), who the audience was led to believe was dead.
The first photo from the second season shows the two characters holding hands while sitting at a restaurant table, which got people questioning why on the earth the ex-lovers were looking so cuddly together.
Unfortunately, those who won't be returning in the show include Shay Mitchell's character Peach Salinger, and Paco played by Luca Padovan.
Rest assured that the hunky John Stamos confirmed with ET Online that he will be back in season two.
The hilarious Chris D'Elia also announced in April that he will be joining the cast of You and according to IMDb, his character is named Henderson.
Charlie Bennett, who you may recognize from Netflix's Russian Doll will be joining season two as Gabe, the best friend of Golberg's new love interest according to the See What's Next Twitter account.
Other new characters include James Scully as Forty Quinn, Robin Lord Taylor as Will, Carmela Zumbado as Delilah Alves, and Adwin Brown as Calvin.
A teaser of all the new characters was posted on Instagram earlier this month.
Season two of You will premiere on Netflix on December 26.
