If you grew up in the 80s and 90s, then you probably use to sit on the couch most weekends watching Homer cause trouble in Springfield. Yep, we're talking about The Simpsons. The iconic show has been running for decades and has become a cult classic among viewers. Soon, it will be really easy and convenient for viewers to rewatch old episodes all in one place. All 30 seasons of The Simpsons will be featured on Disney+ streaming service this fall.

Last night, Disney released a statement and announced more details about its highly anticipated streaming service. Not only did they give us more details on pricing, shows, films, the release date and more, they also gave us the scoop on one of our favourite shows.

In a series of tweets last night, Disney revealed what their new platform will look like, what shows will be available and more details movies coming to the service. While name dropping Star Wars, Marvel and Pixar, Disney managed to slide in fact that The Simpsons was joining their lineup.

It's not every day that a company acquires the rights to an iconic show like The Simpsons.

Disney shared the video above which shows a hilarious 48-second clip featuring our favourite cartoon family. In the video, Homer declares that the Simpsons are joining the Disney family and the streaming service this fall. He makes funny references to Disney and their new "corporate overlords".

In addition to adding all 30 seasons of The Simpsons, Disney will also be releasing brand new content which will likely compete with Netflix's never-ending original content.

Disney has already confirmed that they're making a follow-up series to Monster's Inc. The tales of Sulley and Mike Wazowski will live on! On April 9, Disney announced that they were creating Monsters at Work, a new original tv series that will contain all of your favourite Monster's Inc characters.

The show will pick up six months after the first Monster's Inc. movie left off.

If you want more details on Disney+ and what will be on it, we've got you covered. The platform will cost $6.99 per month and will initially launch in the United States. After that, Disney stated that it intends to spread across the globe in all major markets, so we'll definitely see the service in Canada soon.
