Remember when Disney made a live action film out of Beauty and the Beast and it was the best thing ever? Of course you do. It was like a fairytale IRL.
We couldn't have asked for a better Belle than Emma Watson, and the choreography, costumes and set were on point. Now, Disney is releasing another live-action film and, you're going to want to hold onto your glass slippers, because it's going to be incredible.
Yesterday, Hollywood Reporter announced that writer-director Stephen Chbosky would be working on the new film, and with past hits like The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Beauty and the Beast and, most recently, Wonder, we have very high expectations.
The story is thought to be based on the life of the iconic prince, but from the viewpoint of his brother, who never quite lived up to the family name.
The first question on our lips though, is which Prince Charming is the story going to centre on? Will it be the prince that returned the glass slipper to Cinderella? Or will it be the prince that awoke Snow White from her slumber with a kiss? Or, will it be a new Prince Charming altogether?
The question is yet to be answered, but we expect the film will be fabulous either way.
The Prince Charming project is the latest in a number of new Disney live-action projects. The film will follow up on the successes of 2014's Maleficent, 2015's Cinderella and 2016's The Jungle Book. Other scheduled Disney remakes of Dumbo, Aladdin, Mulan and The Lion King are also already in the works.
Beauty and The Beast, which was released earlier this year, became the highest-grossing live action musical film, the highest-grossing film of 2017 and the 10th highest-grossing film of all time.
In short, Prince Charming has a lot to live up to, and we can't wait to see the result. No word yet on when the release will be.
