If you're a huge fan of American Horror Story like I am, then you'd know that the seasons aren't the same without the main cast. While the characters and plot lines are different every season, they reuse the same actors every season. Unfortunately, Evan Peters revealed he won't be in American Horror Story next season and the reason is so sad

American Horror Story has 8 seasons, with the 9th premiering sometime this fall. In all of those 8 seasons, Evan Peters has had difficult roles and has not missed a season. However, he hasn't been shy about the fact that the roles he plays are very mentally, emotionally, and physically draining.

In an interview at a convention called WonderCon, Evan was asked if he was a part of this upcoming season. In a quick response, he said, "No. I'm going to sit a season out". I'm not crying, you're crying.

The reason he wants to sit this season out? Well, he told GQ last year that the roles exhaust him. He told the magazine, "It's just exhausting. It's really mentally draining, and you don't want to go to those places ever in your life. And so you have to go there for the scenes, and it ends up integrating it somehow into your life. You're in traffic and you find yourself screaming and you're like, What the hell? This isn't who I am." He even mentioned that he was fully burnt out after last season.

While we'll miss our favourite character, hopefully most of the original cast will come back. Evan's ex-girlfriend Emma Roberts has been confirmed as well as Olympian Gus Kenworthy. Other than that, there are no details on this upcoming season. You can view the interview with Evan Peters below.
