Just when you thought you'd heard the last of the disastrous Fyre Festival, more news continues to come out. We've recently found out just how much Ja Rule and Billy McFarland will have to pay back, and more models have been coming forward with stories about promoting the event. We finally have some good news though - another Fyre Festival film is coming, but this one isn't like the others.
Both Netflix and Hulu have released documentaries chronicling the downfall of Fyre Festival. The films are both good in their own rights, although many people seem to prefer one over the other. This new film coming out won't be a documentary style though - it will actually be a parody film, and it sounds exactly like the comic relief we all need.
The film is the brainchild of none other than Seth Rogen, who will also be teaming up with The Lonely Island (consisting of Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone). The film definitely isn't a new idea though - Rogen actually tweeted about it during the event in 2017:
As someone who grew up watching plenty of The Lonely Island's videos, it's safe to say that I'm totally excited to see what these guys cook up. The film is still in its early stages, but there have been hints dropped about wanting to include the infamous Andy King in the film.
