Everyone loves a good meme. And boy, have we been blessed with them this 2017. It seems we had a trending meme almost every month to throw into tweets or tag our friends on Instagram. Do you remember life in a pre-meme world? Because I certainly don't. Here are our favourite memes from the past 12 months.

5. Blinking White Guy
Blinking White Guy is most commonly used for disbelief, surprise, and a little anger. The guy's name is actually Drew Scanion, a video editor and podcaster at website Giant Bomb. The reaction is actually after a gamer says he's, "farming with [my] hoe." Who would've thought??
6. Cash Me Outside / Howbow Dah
13-year-old Danielle Bregoli rose to fame with her threatening catchphrase. When appearing on the Doctor Phil Show in 2016, Bregoli threatened the audience and said that anyone of them could fight her. 7. Nothing but respect for MY president
This meme originated in an interesting way. A tourist stopped in Hollywood to clean Donald Trump's defaced star on the Walk-Of-Fame, took pictures and posted them with the caption, "nothing but respect for my president." Users began mocking the image/photo set, essentially saying that Trump doesn't deserve that respect. 'MY president" is usually a dog, cat, beloved actor, etc.
8. Meryl Streep Singing
This meme is best used when people are sharing popular song lyrics. Or for when sharing important sentiments, usually captioned with, "A little louder for the people in the back".

9. Right In Front of My Salad?!
This meme surprisingly derived from a ridiculous gay porn film. The two porn stars are having sex ~*discreetly*~ in the kitchen while talking to their friend, who is eating. The meme is used whenever something ridiculous is happening.
10. Bella Hadid
Even supermodels aren't safe from being memes. Bella Hadid was mocked around the world after she used incredibly cringey language on an episode of Complex's Sneaker Shopping.
11. Drake Pouring
Drake mixing a drink at a Raptor's game got memed almost instantly. The confused face on Drizzy and his overall nervousness catapulted the moment into prime-meme material.
