Yesterday, July 4th was a very important day for Stranger Things fans all over the world. If you didn't spend your day celebrating America's Independence, you likely spent it binge-watching the third season of the Netflix Original after a year and a half of waiting. Is Stranger Things season 4 confirmed? Here’s everything we know.
Without too many spoilers, let's recap everything we know about season 3 of the series. As they get older, the heroes of Hawkins are beginning to face new monsters, including adolescence and the hormones that come with it. Throughout all these new experiences, our favourite kids quickly realize that closing the door wasn't enough, and the world of the Upside Down is still impossible to stop.
Although it hasn't officially been confirmed, there are several clues that lead us to believe that season 4 is probably already on the way. We don't want to spoil the ending of the latest season, but just know that there's absolutely no way Netflix could leave us hanging like that.
Way back in February of 2018, Netflix released a tweet saying, "Don't drop your Eggos. Rumours that the Duffer Bros are leaving Stranger Things after season 3 are false."
If you're not familiar, the Duffer brothers are the creators of Stranger Things, and with this tweet Netflix basically confirmed that they'll be sticking it out for at least one more season.
In an interview with Collider last year, executive producer Shawn Levy confirmed that season 4 is "definitely happening."
"I mean I'll say we have a good sense of things that happens in Season Four. Season Four is definitely happening. There's a lot more to the possibility of a season than that, that's currently undecided. "
So, there you have it! A season 4 is definitely coming at some point, although it's currently undecided whether it will be the last or not.
